Step-by-Step Instructions for Air Fryer Poached Eggs
  1. Spray each ramekin with cooking spray, then pour 3 tablespoons of water into a 6oz ramekin (or 2 tablespoons for a 4oz ramekin). Set up on the air fryer basket.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the ramekins inside the basket and heat for about 7 minutes.
  3. Carefully remove the ramekins and crack one egg into each, making sure not to break the yolk. Lower the temperature to 360°F (182°C) and set the timer for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Check the firmness of the whites and the doneness of the yolks after 4 minutes. For runny yolks aim for 4 minutes, for firmer yolks leave for the full 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the ramekins from the air fryer and use a silicone spatula to loosen the edges of the eggs. Drain any excess water if necessary.
  6. Gently lift the poached eggs from the ramekins, allowing any remaining water to drain off. Serve on toast, salads, or breakfast bowls; season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle with chopped chives.
