For the Sauce
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Can replace with lean ground turkey, chicken, or plant-based options.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Grated, fresh preferred
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Use light soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tbsp Chili Oil Adjust according to heat preference
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar Apple cider vinegar can be used
For Finishing Touches
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil Drizzle at the end
  • 2 scallions Green Onions Chopped, for garnish
  • Sesame Seeds Optional sprinkle

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, around 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef and brown for 5-7 minutes, draining excess fat as necessary.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to skillet. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, chili oil, brown sugar, and rice vinegar, allowing to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add cooked spaghetti to skillet, tossing gently to coat. If too thick, add reserved pasta water until desired consistency.
  6. Remove from heat, drizzle sesame oil, and stir in green onions and sesame seeds. Toss to combine.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra sesame seeds or chili oil if desired.
