Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Whisk together bread flour, instant yeast, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Gradually pour in warm tap water and mix until a scraggly, sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl tightly and let the dough rise in a warm spot for 2 to 3 hours.
  4. Preheat your Dutch oven to 450°F (220°C) for 30 minutes before baking.
  5. Dust surface with flour, gently scrape the dough onto it, add half the cheese, and fold inward four times.
  6. Shape the dough round and transfer onto parchment paper, sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 35 minutes covered, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and cool on a rack for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
