Step-by-Step Instructions for Cowboy Club Sandwich
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add thick-cut bacon strips and cook for 6–8 minutes, flipping occasionally, until crispy.
- While the bacon cooks, toast slices of bread until golden brown and crisp, usually around 3–5 minutes.
- Wash and slice a ripe tomato into thick rounds, and shred your lettuce using a sharp knife or kitchen shears.
- On the first slice of toasted bread, spread a layer of mayonnaise, then layer turkey slices evenly, followed by cheddar cheese.
- Place two crispy bacon slices on top of the cheese layer.
- Layer on the shredded lettuce and tomato slices, season with salt and pepper.
- Place the second slice of toasted bread on top, pressing down lightly.
- Spread another layer of mayonnaise on the second slice. Add more turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce, and tomato.
- Place the third slice of bread atop the second, mayonnaise side down, to complete the sandwich.
- Cut the sandwich in half diagonally and secure with toothpicks if desired before serving.
