Step-by-Step Instructions for Cowboy Club Sandwich
  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add thick-cut bacon strips and cook for 6–8 minutes, flipping occasionally, until crispy.
  2. While the bacon cooks, toast slices of bread until golden brown and crisp, usually around 3–5 minutes.
  3. Wash and slice a ripe tomato into thick rounds, and shred your lettuce using a sharp knife or kitchen shears.
  4. On the first slice of toasted bread, spread a layer of mayonnaise, then layer turkey slices evenly, followed by cheddar cheese.
  5. Place two crispy bacon slices on top of the cheese layer.
  6. Layer on the shredded lettuce and tomato slices, season with salt and pepper.
  7. Place the second slice of toasted bread on top, pressing down lightly.
  8. Spread another layer of mayonnaise on the second slice. Add more turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce, and tomato.
  9. Place the third slice of bread atop the second, mayonnaise side down, to complete the sandwich.
  10. Cut the sandwich in half diagonally and secure with toothpicks if desired before serving.
