Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, about 7-9 minutes. Drain the pasta and reserve about a cup of the starchy pasta water.
  2. In the same pot, melt unsalted butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually pour in heavy cream while whisking. Add Boursin cheese and white cheddar, stirring until melted and creamy.
  3. Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce, stirring gently to coat. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes to absorb some sauce.
  4. In a separate skillet, melt remaining butter over medium heat. Add breadcrumbs, stirring for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Transfer pasta mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle toasted breadcrumbs over the top and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
