  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten

For the Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Minced
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Orange Juice High-quality juice is key
  • 1/4 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar Do not substitute
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch For thickening the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Orange Zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 5 minutes.
  2. Set up your breading station with flour, cornstarch, and salt in one bowl, and beaten eggs in another.
  3. Dip chicken pieces in the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, then back into the flour mixture.
  4. Lightly grease the air fryer basket and arrange the breaded chicken in a single layer. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Prepare the sauce in a saucepan by sautéing garlic and ginger, then adding orange juice, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch. Cook until thickened.
  6. Combine the cooked chicken with the sauce in a large bowl and toss gently.
