  • 1 cup Sweet Marsala Cooking Wine Avoid regular Marsala wine.
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch Create a slurry with water before adding.

Steps
  1. Lightly grease the slow cooker with nonstick spray and set to low heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper and place them in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Finely mince the garlic and spread it evenly over the chicken, then layer sautéed mushrooms on top.
  4. Pour the sweet Marsala wine over the ingredients in the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours until chicken reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove chicken and prepare cornstarch slurry with water.
  7. Stir the slurry into the remaining juices in the slow cooker and return chicken, mixing gently.
  8. Switch to high heat and cook for an additional 20-30 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  9. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper before serving.
