  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil or olive/avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic oil for brushing

  • ¼ cup crispy fried garlic for topping

  1. Prepare the spice paste by using a mortar and pestle to pound coriander roots, black peppercorns, and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Mix the sauce in a bowl with Golden Mountain sauce, white sugar, sesame oil, and oyster sauce. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Prepare the filling by blending ground pork, sauce mixture, egg, and cornstarch until smooth.
  4. Combine the smooth pork mixture with spice paste, diced carrots, green onions, and shiitake mushrooms and mix thoroughly.
  5. Shape the dumplings by filling the wrapper with the prepared filling and sealing tightly.
