  • 3 tablespoons Coconut Aminos or Tamari, Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Oil or Sunflower Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon Arrowroot Powder or Cornstarch
For the Filling
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
  • 1 pound Ground Beef or ground turkey, chicken
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger grated
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper finely diced
  • 1 cup Shredded Carrots
  • 2 stalks Green Onions sliced

For the Wrap
  • 8 leaves Boston Bibb Lettuce or Iceberg, Butter Lettuce
  • 1 cup Steamed White Rice or Cauliflower Rice, quinoa optional

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together maple syrup, coconut aminos, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and optional red pepper flakes. Gradually sprinkle in arrowroot powder while stirring to ensure there are no lumps.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef, and cook until browned.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic, grated ginger, red bell pepper, and shredded carrots. Sauté for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetable mixture, stir well, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and gently fold in sliced green onions. Scoop mixture into lettuce leaves and garnish with sesame seeds.
