Cooking Steps
- Thaw the shrimp in cool water for about 15 minutes, peel and devein, then pat dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, combine shrimp with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, half the garlic, salt, and red pepper flakes. Marinate for 20 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add remaining olive oil, and cook shrimp for 1 to 1.5 minutes on each side. Remove and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter, add remaining garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Pour in wine (or stock) and lemon juice, and let simmer until reduced by half.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, stir to coat in sauce, add remaining butter, and heat through for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Shrimp should only take 2-3 minutes to cook; always pat them dry before cooking for a sear instead of steaming.
