Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of instant yeast until well blended.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of warm milk and 1 cup of warm water. Gradually pour this into the dry ingredients while stirring until a rough dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl and cover. Let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.
  5. Gently punch down the dough, divide it into 8 portions, and shape each into a ball.
  6. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook each dough piece for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Brush each cooked round with melted butter and sprinkle with optional toppings.
