- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and butter a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Scrape down sides.
- Add eggs one at a time, mix in sour cream, vanilla extract, and banana extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, and fold in mashed bananas.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 22-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let bars cool in pan for 10 minutes, then cool completely on a wire rack.
- Beat softened cream cheese and butter until smooth, add confectioners’ sugar and vanilla extract.
- Spread cream cheese frosting over cooled banana bars.
- Let set, slice into squares, and serve.
