- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients.
- Melt 3 tablespoons of unsalted Irish butter and brush half on the inside of a 9x5 loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Stir in the shredded Irish cheddar cheese until well-coated.
- Pour 12 ounces of Irish beer into the dry ingredients and mix gently until combined.
- Transfer the batter to the loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Drizzle the remaining melted butter over the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of Irish butter and mix with parsley and garlic powder for the topping.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture over the hot bread after baking.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
