- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your muffin tin with liners or grease.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs and mix in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture gently, then fold in most of the toasted pecans.
- Spoon the batter into muffin cups, filling them 3/4 full and drizzle with maple syrup or honey if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18–22 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
