  • ½ cup orange juice freshly squeezed is preferable
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup for a different flavor
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce use tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
For the Salmon
  • 1 pound salmon fillets wild-caught Pacific salmon is recommended
  • to taste salt essential for seasoning
  • to taste pepper essential for seasoning

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter or olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it bubbles.
  2. Season 1 pound of salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Cook the salmon skin-side up for 3-5 minutes without moving it, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  4. Remove the salmon and tent with aluminum foil.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add ½ cup orange juice, 2 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 2 cloves minced garlic. Whisk and let simmer for 30-60 seconds.
  6. Coat the cooked salmon with the glaze in the skillet.
  7. Serve garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
