- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and gather your ingredients.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook manicotti shells for 6-7 minutes, then drain.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef and Italian sausage for about 8 minutes, then add onion and cook until softened.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, then stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, parmesan, egg, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Spread half of the meat sauce in a baking dish, fill manicotti with cheese mixture, and arrange in dish.
- Pour remaining meat sauce over filled shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
