Homemade Lemon Spread Instructions
  1. Wash and dry four large lemons, zest them, and juice them, straining out any seeds.

  3. Simmer over medium heat until it gently boils, then reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Check for doneness using the cold plate test; if it wrinkles when pushed, it's ready.
  5. Pour the hot spread into sterilized jars, seal tightly, and let cool before refrigerating.
